Testing Stripe payments gives "Your card number is invalid"

I have just bought and started setting up a site with "Elite - MultiTenant" license. Normally when testing using Stripe sandbox keys the CC number can be "2222 2222 2222 2222" or any test credit-card number. However, Laraship gives error "Your card number is invalid" during the subscription checkout. Is there some way to enable testing credit card numbers for Stripe for the subscriptions checkout?
